The Rude Mechanical Theatre are back with a play about the childhood of Charlie Chaplin in Lambeth. Director Pete Talbot says it has a message of hope through imagination and laughter. Tickets can be booked here.
Happy Highways Community Play
The second Rusthall community play, devised by members of the community and written and directed by Jon Oram of the Claque Theatre Company, will take place over the August bank holiday weekend. It will be in Happy Valley and take the form of a theatrical walk. A story will unfold as audiences meet different characters and scenes during their promenade. Dressing of the Toad
Get ready to Dress the Toad! A full day of socially distanced creative activities is planned, including the art of storytelling, at this free event taking place in the sandy area in front of Toad Rock. A sign up form for time slots will be on site for each of the art forms. At 2pm and 5pm there will be a procession to the Toad Rock to offer our creative gifts to the Toad. Wear a flower lei, jingle bell anklets, head dress or your own colourful clothes.
